Academic Appointments Ltd is currently working with a partner Harrogate secondary school to recruit a dedicated food technology teacher. This is a full – time food technology teacher position and will begin as soon as possible until the end of term, in the first instance, with a potential of a permanent offer for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be teaching food technology up to KS4 and will have responsibility for their own exam classes.

This is a school, based in Harrogate, where leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum, including for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Leaders have identified the important knowledge that they want pupils to know and remember. When designing the curriculum, leaders have ensured that new content connects to what pupils already know.

Requirements:

* QTS or relevant teaching qualification, ECTs welcome to apply

* Well qualified with an honours degree in relevant subject

* 2 x references from educational establishments, university and placement references accepted

* Evidence of an exemplary track record

* A passion for success and quality teaching

* An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the update service

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
