Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist

Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 per annum DOE
Hours: 35 hours per week
Our private sector client are recruiting a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist to support their rehab centre in Birmingham on a permanent basis.
Their Birmingham site is a brain injury rehabilitation centre where people initially come for a 12-week assessment period, where they begin a rehabilitation period to support their recovery after a brain injury.
You will work as part of an multi/interdisciplinary team providing occupational therapy input within the BIRT Neurobehavioural model to People We Support with acquired brain injury and to lead on OT provision within the service.
Key responsibilities:
Provide specialist OT support in neurological rehabilitation, often as the sole clinician, with supervision as needed.
Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs or challenging behaviors.
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for complex cases.
Design care programs, oversee implementation by support staff, and monitor progress to ensure effective intervention.Requirements:
A diploma or degree in occupational therapy, and registered with the HCPC.
Ability to work as an autonomous therapist with experience in neurological rehabilitation.
