Job Title: Design Technology Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

Location: BrIstol

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent/Temporary

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084/annum

Start Date: ASAP (or 28/10/2024)

I am currently working with an inclusive secondary school dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for all students. They take pride in fostering creativity, innovation, and a passion for learning across all subjects. Due to the ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality education, I am seeking a dynamic and motivated Design Technology Teacher to join the dedicated team.

The Role: Currently searching for an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The successful candidate will have a passion for inspiring young minds and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across a range of design disciplines, including:

* Key Stage 3 Design Technology: Developing students' foundational skills and understanding of the subject.

* Key Stage 4 Design Technology: Preparing students for GCSEs, with a focus on practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology to KS3 & KS4 students.

* Foster creativity and innovation in students' design work.

* Develop and implement engaging schemes of work that align with the curriculum.

* Use assessment data to inform teaching and provide constructive feedback to students.

* Support the development of students’ technical skills, including proficiency in resistance materials and graphic design.

* Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment.

* Contribute to extracurricular activities, including clubs and projects that enhance the students' learning experience.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* A degree in Design Technology or a related subject.

* Experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 level.

* Desirable: Experience with resistance materials and graphic design.

* Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
