A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen, at a UK and Europe head quarters of a market leading manufacturing company to join them as a HR Manager, you will be providing generalist, transactional HR support across the site to the management and directorship team:

Oversee and managing operational HR activity for all employees (circa 70 mixture of workshop, technical, commercial and field based)
Liaising daily with management and leadership teams in relation to any HR related requirements, including workforce budgets (managing expectations), assisting with maintaining excellent employee relations within teams, and acting as a supportive sounding board in relation to HR when needed
Attending weekly senior management meeting, ensuring all HR KPI's including FTE, turnover and time & attendances are achieved and reported/conveyed accurately and effectively
Prepare and finalised both weekly and monthly salary and temporary labour report
Being an advocate in promoting, developing and implanting HR functions for the site including Mental Health First Aid, as well as diversity, equality and inclusion
Finalising job specifications with management, obtaining recruitment sign off from global head office, advertising role, and compiling shortlist of suitable candidates
Coaching management on best interviewing practice, sitting in on interviews, compiling offer letter and contract, arranging induction for new recruits
As this is an operational role, you will need to a presence within all departments including the workshopWe would expect the HR Manager to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of HR legal regulations and HR operational practices, be an excellent communicator and have a professional, support, proactive/positive manner. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the companies processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if you have worked with Human Resources Management or a Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner (minimum of 3 years experience within a generalist role) from a manufacturing, production or engineering background. The ideal candidate with be qualified to CIPD level 5 or qualified by experienced.

You will be joining the Corby based UK & European HR office, as well as very occasional overseas travel to global head office (no more than twice annually). The global organisation has been established for over 50 years, and has an enviable reputation within their field of manufacturing. This is an exciting site stand alone HR role, reporting directly into the site Operation Director, and C.E.O who is based overseas, the role offers variety on a daily basis.
