Assistant Commercial Manager

West Malling - office-based

Salary: up to £45,000

I have a new opportunity to join my growing client in the telecommunications / networking / connectivity sector, developing systems which enable their clients to access high-speed networking, cloud and IoT. They have projects for Blue Chip clients all over the world, so now is a really exciting time to join a well established, yet growing IoT organisation.

In this role as an Assistant Commercial Manager, you will be helping to manage key external and internal relationships with various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers and internal staff.

You will also be provided with guidance, support and training throughout the role.

Responsibilities:

Conduct contract reviews and manage risk profiles of suppliers and customers.
Provide commercial support for quotes, pricing, and proposals, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Represent the business in customer and supplier meetings, supporting business development and product commercialisation.
Collaborate with Sales and Operations to develop pricing strategies, addressing customer feedback and commercial requirements.
Develop and implement commercial systems to enhance company operations, managing supplier relationships, including onboarding and negotiations.
Monitor and report on commercial activities, using key metrics to drive improvements and support budgeting and target-setting.
Support client relationship management and ensure effective supplier expenditure.Requirements:

5+ years experience in a Commercial role
Solid understanding of Contract Law and contractual principles
Strong analytical skills
Strong understanding of performance reporting and financial / budgeting processes
Proven experience managing commercial relationships with Suppliers / Customers
Setting up / negotiating and managing Contracts
Degree educated preferred (relevant experience and no degree is still suitable)
Solid knowledge of Excel
Driving licenseDesirables:

Experience in the Construction / Telecoms sector
