Electrical Shift Engineer - East Grinstead - 50k - 53k + Package

Are you an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a skilled individual to join a team at a critical data centre in East Grinstead, Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in maintaining and operating essential electrical systems in high-stakes environments to join a forward thinking business who actively promote from within.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the existing shift team to ensure the optimal operation of electrical systems.

* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on UPS systems, generators, lighting, and BMS (Building Management Systems).

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high operational standards.

* Monitor and respond to alarms and system faults, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance planning

* Deliver efficient HV/LV monitoring and switching

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a critical site environment (hospitals, data centres, banking, or pharmaceuticals) is essential.

* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, particularly UPS and generators.

* Experience with BMS and lighting systems.

* High Voltage (HV) experience is preferred; a valid HV ticket is a bonus.

* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently under pressure.
