Position Summary:
Rolling stock refurbishment and repurposing, corrosion and structural body repairs

Ongoing work within rail/rolling stock engineering sector

* Inspection, replacement and repair of corroded sections of rolling stock
* Stripping damaged sections, window cut outs and whole floor replacement
* Solid wire MIG work working with predominantly mild steel from 2- 10mm - with MPI tested welds
* Welding new sections and infill pieces, variety of positions, including vertical and overhead required
* Experience with fabrication, use of grinders and plasma required
* Ability to work from verbal instruction and engineering drawings

All candidates will be required to successfully complete T fillet test pieces in Vertical Up and Overhead on 2mm and 5mm

Candidates will have:
- Relevant City and Guilds / NVQ - Level 2 Required
- Experience of Position Welding, ideally evidenced through codings held.
- Own PPE Expected as undertaking Contract Role
