Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Aseptic Pharmacist to join our clients dedicated pharmacy team at an NHS Hospital in Kent. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective aseptic practices within our pharmacy service, contributing to patient care and safety.
Position Details:
Location: NHS Hospital, Kent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a 30-minute break)
Duration: Ongoing, with a January start
Pay Rate: £27 - £37 per hour (Band 7/8a)
Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense aseptic products in compliance with NHS standards and aseptic guidelines
Ensure the safe handling of cytotoxic and high-risk medications
Work closely with the pharmacy team to provide pharmaceutical care to patients
Monitor and improve aseptic techniques, adhering to best practice and safety standards
Offer expert advice and guidance to medical and nursing teams on aseptic pharmacy matters
Contribute to the development and review of standard operating procedures for aseptic services
Participate in training and mentorship of junior pharmacy staff
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for aseptic processes and quality assurance
Requirements:
Aseptic experience is essential
Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Previous experience in aseptic services within an NHS setting is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of aseptic preparation, including cytotoxic medications
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
A strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
