Vacancy Brief:
* Our client is seeking a Homeless Prevention support worker on a Temp basis covering long term sickness with the potential to go permanent.
* This vacancy is full time, 37.5 hours per week.
* Working Pattern: 9am-5pm hours, no work on weekends of bank holidays
* This vacancy is based in Birmingham.
* Excellent pay rate: candidate’s will be paid £11.90 PAYE Or £15.17 per hour Umbrella.
* Candidate must have experience of homelessness prevention of young people in independent living.
* The role is subject to an enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult workforce.
* Full UK Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is required.
The Duties & Responsibilities:
* As a Homeless Prevention support worker, you will be required to undertake comprehensive and detailed assessments of housing and support needs and risks, to ensure the prevention of homelessness, where safe to do so.
* In your job role as a Homeless Prevention Support Worker, you will manage a case load of young people through the prevention and/or relief pathways.
* Part of your job role will be to provide a high-quality homelessness and housing advice to young people, ensuring that their needs are met, and expectations managed.
* Furthermore, in this role you be tasked with undertaking investigations into housing and personal history to ascertain eligibility, priority need and local connection to support the local authority.
Ideal Requirements:
* PIE (Psychologically Informed Environments) skills
* Experience of working with YP with Mental Health
* Understanding of Childrens Social Services and Adult Social Care.
* Computer skills and good literacy.
* Good communication skills – listening and writing
