We are recruiting Bar and Events Assistants on a temporary contract to join Coventry University Event and Operational Team, to delivery a high-end bar service and excellent customer service during Events and Sports Fixtures at their sites at Square One (Coventry Campus) and Westwood Heath (near Warwick University).

As a Bar and Events Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:

*Meet, great and welcome all customers in a polite manner
*Processes all cash and card transactions
*Deliver excellent customer service
*Carry out bar duties in line with University responsible drinking guidelines (Challenge 21)
*Being able to take orders and serve drinks
*Pour and serve drinks accurately to maintain customer expectations and reduce product wastage
*Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all customers and staff
*Support the venues in event set up, delivery and pack down
*Deal with customer complaints and in a prompt, profession and proactive manner
*Report any maintenance or safety issues whilst on shift

Skills and experience required for the role:
*Customer service experience essential, previous bar experience advantageous
*Flexible
*Organised
*Good communication skills
*Team Player
*Able to work within a busy environment
*Able to handle conflict, and work within a calm manner

Hours/Pay Rate:
Part time mainly evenings and weekends between Monday to Sunday
£11.44 p/h
Temporary until end of October 2024
