KS1 Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are working with a primary school in the L9 area of Liverpool who are seeking a full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant to work as a general classroom assistant.
This role is starting as soon as possible and will be a temporary, long-term role.

The School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing with a strong sense of initiative for this KS1 Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This KS1 Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the children's needs are being met. In this KS1 Teaching Assistant role you will provide small group Phonics, Reading and Maths interventions.

Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:

* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
* Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
* Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
* Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:

* Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
* Must have a passion for education
* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
* Must be reliable and punctual
