Electricians mate role avaliable in Didcot!

As an Electrician's Mate, you will work alongside qualified electricians, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on a busy commercial construction site. Your role will involve hands-on support with electrical wiring, cable installation, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist electricians with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power supplies, and distribution boards.

* Help with the running of cables, trunking, and conduit installation.

* Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for electrical work on-site.

* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with relevant codes of practice.

* Help maintain a clean and tidy work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

* Assist with the testing and commissioning of electrical systems under the supervision of a qualified electrician.

* Support with site preparation and general duties as required by the site manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

* Valid ECS card

* Previous experience as an Electrician's Mate or a similar role on commercial or construction sites is preferred but not essential.

* Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools. A willingness to learn and develop new skills is essential.

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites is important.

* Ability to handle physical tasks and work at heights when required
