My Client is recruiting for an Account/Delivery Manager in the Water Sector
Location - Midlands - Hybrid mix of Office, Home and Site.
This role may suit an experienced Operations or Delivery Manager who has worked in the Water Industry.
About the role…
As the Account Manager, you'll be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of all programmes of work. You will ensure the day to day running of all on-site activities is delivered in line with the specific framework requirements.
This is a fast-paced environment that potential covers a 24/7 delivery service. You will closely monitor the Client's KPI's against our performance to ensure that we are delivering to the client's expectations, offering an excellent service and value for money.
You will ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, within budget; and monitor the performance delivery to ensure it meets the recognised standards of productivity, quality and compliance.
You will actively lead and manage the programmes of work to the highest professional standards, working closely with clients, supply chain partners, local authorities, and other stakeholders. The programme of work will be delivered through a blended approach of internal resource and supply chain partners.
The programme of works will be the delivery of non-infra projects within the Water Treatment Industry with variable degrees of Civils & MEICA works involved.
Projects are within the Severn Trent Water region, a split of both clean water and sewage treatment across both non-infra and interfacing with partnering infra projects.
What will your day look like…
You will work with your Project Managers to ensure the deliver work to the client requirements and within a safe environment.
This is site and office & home-based role and will require travel within urban, rural, suburban and client compound environments.
You will manage several managers, report to the Account Director with an interface to Head of Non-Infra and engage with the Business Director.
You will be accountable for the delivery of work within the set budget.
You will engage with clients, sub-contractors, local authorities, and other external stakeholders.
Monitor all delivery and financial performance against the programme of work. Identify any early risks and take the corrective course of action to minimise/recover the position against the budget.
Ensure the planning, co-ordinating and supervising the programme of work is delivered in accordance with the contract and regularly monitoring progress. Where necessary, organise collaborative planning sessions, facilitating challenge to durations and opportunities.
To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessment and coaching to your teams and supply chain partners to ensure all activities are completed to the required standards and are meeting the programme outputs.
Work closely with the operational support functions (design, customer experience, planners/scheduling, procurement) to ensure good co-ordination between all programmes of work.
Promote and maintain all aspects associated with Health, Safety and Environmental responsibility and ensure the team complies with Company's Work Together, Safe Together ethos and H&S system (e20).
Fulfil your obligations for change control, suppliers quotes and support with business case approvals where necessary.
Ensure the programme of work is adequately defined, design acceptance and risk management plans are in place.
Understand and apply the framework's terms and conditions.
Experience and Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience of managing projects throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle.
Experience of a similar role in a construction environment.
Working knowledge of the NEC form of contract.
Budget and Profit & Loss experience.
Managing and leading a team successfully.
Understanding of programme delivery processes.
Understanding of applicable construction legislation including HSEQ.
Ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong coaching, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Financial awareness and ability to work to budgets.
Understanding of resource utilisation to include effective prioritising in an ever-changing environment.
Experience within the water / wastewater treatment sector
