Senior Client Accountant - Residential Block. OUR CLIENT is an established and recognised block property manager who have instructed us to recruit a new Senior Client Accountant as an addition to their Property Accounting team to work on high-end luxury departments in London.
THE ROLE responsibilities for the Senior Client Accountant will include:
Preparing budget packs and reviewing content with PRMs, General Managers (GM's) and client through each stage of the budget process.
Preparing year-end audit packs to ETB stage, conducting reviews with PRM's and GM's, liaising with external auditors to produce year end service charge certificated accounts in line with statutory requirements and company best practices.
Standardizing and maintaining a high level of client reporting for the issue of periodic client financial reporting packs.
Reconciling all bank accounts related to assigned portfolio on a monthly basis.
Updating accounts checklist with progress of budgets, accounts and periodic reporting, as well as any general financial projects.
Responding to appropriate finance-related lessee queries.
Collating, reconciling and issuing financial information to new agents for lost schemes.
Providing financial elements to pre-sales packs.
Calculating and processing property-specific recharges i.e. heating/water etc.
Maintaining ground rent funds and remitting ground rent statements and monies collected to landlords.
Reconciling site setup funds, maintaining void accounts for new build clients.
Assisting with the delivery and support of the Building Safety Act 2022 where appropriate; ensuring that buildings are safe and feel safe for all stakeholders.
THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS for the Senior Client Accountant role are:
Knowledge and experience of the property sector and service charge accounting essential.
Familiar with Property Management System (such as MRI QUBE, TRAMPS or Yardi).
