An excellent opportunity for an experienced Laser Operator to join a well-established company based in Nelson

Salary: Starting Salary of £14.50 Per Hour.

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent.

Schedule: 4 Day Week – Monday – Thursday 7:00 – 17:00.

About The Company

They are a responsive Sheetmetal and Fabricating company based in Nelson, trading for over 25 years. They have built their excellent reputation producing quality one-offs and small batch items, proud to work with companies across all sectors of engineering.

The company is now looking to recruit an experienced Laser Operator working on a Fibre Optic 4Kw Laser to join their team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Respect and maintain the Laser to ensure minimum downtime.

* Select, inspect, and load component material.

* Set and operate machinery.

* Display a proactive approach to learning how to organise workloads for maximum efficiency (items for fold/polishing/inserts/drilling etc)

* Work within a team to ensure products are made on time/ keep abreast of any priority changes.

* Carry out and record finished goods inspections as specified.

* Carry out quality checks.

* Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat & tidy.

* Be responsible for the correct storage and use of off cut material.

* Report any issues that may impact on quality/efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

* The ideal candidate will have previous Laser Operator experience in a busy Sheetmetal environment.

* FLT License beneficial but not essential.

* Should enjoy working independently whilst supporting the functions of the team.

Terms & Conditions:

* Mon - Thus (07:00 – 17:00)

* Overtime is available

* 30 Days Holiday (including bank holiday) +1 day after 5 years’ service +another after 10 years
