Senior Quantity Surveyor.

* Location: Sevenoaks.

* Salary: Up to £80K.

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator with at least 5 years’ experience to join our multi-disciplined practice based in Sevenoaks. Must be able to produce cost plans from drawings and estimate building costs of Residential projects including re-cladding of high-rise schemes.

■ Professional Subscriptions Role Requirements

■ Production of cost plans for New Build Residential and Mix Used Projects from RIBA Stage 0 to RIBA Stage 5

■ Client liaison and attending design team meetings

■ Client side Valuations, certification and evaluation of changes

■ Reviewing and analysing Main Contractors Tender submissions

■ Cost exercises for clients including Value Engineering

■ Maintaining cost database

■ Focus on residential projects and fire remediation work Key Skills Required:

■ Experience of high-rise cladding and replacement and contractor negotiations

■ Preparation of Cost/Benefit analysis of design options

■ Ensuring all costs are tracked & validated/ open book evaluation

■ Supporting clients by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates

■ Cost comparison and main contractor selection

■ Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports and forecasts

■ Respond to commercial and contractual disputes and claims including loss and expense, final account, changes and cost value reconciliation review

■ Understanding of JCT Design & Build Contracts

■ Negotiation with Contractors

■ Review of pricing documents against programme and cashflow Must have working knowledge of:

■ Excel, Word, MS teams

■ Measurement of drawings, Cost X/Bluebeam Software

■ Affordable Housing

■ Building Practices

■ Building Costs

■ BSF/ CSS Fund requirements
