We have a great opportunity for a Process laboratory technician who would like to be part of a large team working for a multinational global brand.

Our client manufactures, distributes, sells and markets some of the world's strongest brands in non-alcoholic beverages. It is a leading Western European marketer, distributor, and producer of bottles and can non-alcoholic refreshment.

Job title: Process lab technician

Job type: Temporary - ongoing

Pay rate: £14.55/ hour & increased to £16.17/hour after 12 weeks

Location: Wakefield (WF2 0XR)

Working hours: 3 on 3 off ( rotating days & nights)

Shift timings: 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am (rotational)

Responsibilities:

Performing quality checks include HPLC, Brix, tritrations
Collection of samples and plating for micro.
Record keeping
Testing is to be carried out accurately and in a timely manner and within tolerances to help meet production targets.
Escalate any anomalies to the team leader immediately.
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
You will ensure all relevant Laboratory safety, Chemical Awareness, and Food Safety Procedures are followed
Skills & Essentials:

Experience working in a laboratory
Microbiology sampling and testing/counting experience/qualification
Must be able to work on their own initiative and as a part of the team
Must be able to work well under pressure of a busy manufacturing environment
GCSE Math's and English, or equivalent is required, as well as basic PC skills
