We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor with proven experience in the offshore oil & gas sector to work for a major EPC clients on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:
* Review and qualify or draft different types of contracts, including but not limited to: engineering, procurement, Construction,(EPC) transportation and installation, service contracts, as well as associated confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure and restrictive use agreements; partnership/consortium/joint venture/alliance agreements, subcontract agreements;
* Manage the workload in coordination with Tendering/Commercial, Project Management and Procurement functions, collecting the inputs from the other functions, including Insurance, Tax and Finance;
* Prepare Contract Summaries on tender/project specific basis;
* Advise Company and Corporate Management on the main contractual risks, identifying and proposing contractual mitigation actions;
* Participate in meetings (with internal clients, external clients, partners and subcontractors), negotiating, taking notes and preparing summaries and/or Minutes of Meeting.
* Negotiate the contractual instruments with the counterparties in the best interests of the Company and in accordance with Company risk policies.
* Support the Project Management teams in the determination of claims and contract management strategies , in the preparation and evaluation of variation order requests, and in the drafting of key project correspondence towards clients, major subcontractors and/or other interfacing third parties.
* Support the Procurement function in the review of subcontracts and purchase orders.
* Draft all related legal instruments and correspondence.
* Perform legal research, e.g. case law affecting Company market space.
* Assist in the resolution of legal and contractual matters, in coordination with the relevant Corporate functions.
* Regularly report to the Company and Corporate Management on the Contract Management activities.
Requirements:
* Have knowledge of the industry standard contracts (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, IOCs’ etc.)
* Knowledge and experience of English Law.
* Proven experience of reviewing and advising on tendering contracts and of administrating project contracts and effective negotiation skills are essential.
* Proven experience negotiating and executing offshore construction contracts.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, listening and influencing.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Ability to work under time pressure to meet deadlines.
* International mobility both for short missions and potentially for long-term assignments.
