We are currently seeking a Fettler / Labourer to join a leading fabrication company based in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive environment offering full training and long-term career prospects.

* Do you have experience in fettling or assembly?

What you’ll be doing as a Fettler / Labourer, but not limited to:

* Producing fettled parts to specification and schedule using a grinder to smooth rough edges and surfaces of cut and welded metal parts.

* Dressing welds and grain materials to a high standard using power tools and various abrasives.

* Assembling and packing stoves and components according to assembly instructions and quality standards.

* Inspecting parts for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards before assembly or packing.

* Re-working returned goods and internal non-conforming parts to meet quality specifications.

* Carrying out basic tasks with hands, including handling and manipulating materials effectively.

* Willingness to undergo training for all tasks undertaken. Training will be provided for fettling and assembly work.

* Once trained, candidates may also be assigned various assembly tasks around the factory as needed.

Key Skills for a Fettler / Labourer:

* Previous experience in fettling or assembly is preferred but not essential; full training provided.

* Ability to use hand tools effectively, particularly grinders for fettling work.

* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.

* Physical stamina and ability to lift and move parts as required.

* Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
