Senior and Non-Senior Residential Support Worker - Residential Children's Home
Location: DE21 Morley, Derbyshire
Salary: £24k-£28k (DOE) + £50 per sleep-in

Job Summary:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior and Non-Senior Residential Support Workers to join a dynamic team at a Children’s Home in Derby. You will play a vital role in providing day-to-day care for our young residents, supporting them in various activities, education, and statutory meetings. As part of a committed, caring team, you will ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, including assisting with cooking, cleaning, and safeguarding the welfare of our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Support young people in activities, education, and statutory meetings.
Work collaboratively with a team to maintain the home's standards.
Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of young people at all times.
Participate in household duties such as cooking and cleaning.
Person Specification:

Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing.
Basic arithmetic skills.
Experience working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviours.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to plan and coordinate activities.
Understanding of the issues faced by children and young people.
Awareness of the impact of abuse and oppression on young people.
A commitment to treating others with dignity and respect.
Additional Requirements:

Applicants must hold a valid driving license.
Prior experience working with young people is essential.
Senior candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
