My client is a gasification plant situated in Bridgwater and can recover energy from 180,000mT of refuse derived fuel each year. BRRL owns and operates the gasification plant and supplies power to the National Grid.
We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for clerical/financial support to the Commercial Manager and will play a vital role in procurement, administration, and financial/budget reporting at the Bridgwater EfW facility. The role will also involve working closely with the facility HSE, Operations and Maintenance teams as a support function to optimise plant performance, availability, and profitability.
To be successful in this role, we believe our ideal candidate will have the following essential criteria:
Essential Criteria
• GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Part qualified accountant working towards full accreditation
• The ability to communicate and influence effectively, and work collaboratively, at all levels in an organisation.
• Able to organise workload effectively, meet targets and provide solutions
• Flexible and performance driven, with the commitment, determination, and resilience to deliver added value to operational performance.
• Fully proficient in all MS Office applications
Desirable Criteria
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working with suppliers and procurement processes
• Awareness of health and safety in an industrial environment
