Title: Junior Acoustic Consultant

The position of Junior Acoustic Consultant is open at a well-established environmental consultancy that focuses on sustainable development and addressing environmental challenges. The company works collaboratively with developers, local authorities, and various stakeholders to deliver tailored, practical, and innovative solutions that meet their clients' specific needs.

In this role, the Junior Acoustic Consultant will be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders across different departments to ensure projects are completed on time and successfully. Their duties will include conducting surveys and assessments on noise and vibration using specialised modelling software, as well as compiling technical data and creating comprehensive reports for clients.

Opportunities for professional development and continuous learningTo be eligible for the Junior Acoustic Consultant position, candidates must possess either a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or a Master of Science (MSc) in acoustic engineering or a related field, alongside certification from the Institute of Acoustics (IOA). Practical experience in conducting sound and noise assessments is essential, as is having a valid UK driver's licence. Effective written and verbal communication skills are also required. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates who are based near the Sheffield office.
