Location: Camden Council Caretakers Office, Northiam (Basement), London, WC1H 8LB
Rate of Pay: £21.02 per hour (umbrella)
Contract Duration: 17th November 2024 - 31st December 2024
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:15

Camden Council's Caretaking Service is integral to creating and maintaining safe, well-managed communities, ensuring the health and wellbeing of our residents. We are looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our team, providing a visible and responsive caretaking service on housing estates and selected street properties.

Key Responsibilities:

High-Quality Cleaning: Ensure high standards of cleanliness for both internal and external areas of residential buildings within the estate.
Waste Management and Grounds Maintenance: Oversee and support performance in these areas in collaboration with the Council's service teams and contractors.
Health and Safety Oversight: Manage health and safety issues on-site and support first responders during emergencies.
Community Support: Act as the first point of contact for residents, providing advice and support, especially for those who require additional assistance while living independently.Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in caretaking, housing management, or a related field.
Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Effective decision-making skills, particularly in challenging situations.
A DBS check is required prior to starting this role.Camden Council values its caretakers as they represent the face of the Council to the community, providing not only essential services but also a source of guidance and support for residents.
