Long term futures are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in Newark. The successful candidate will work with children special educational needs SEN.

About the Role: As a SEN teaching assistant you will play a key role in supporting students in a specialist setting that provides holistic support. You'll work closely with both verbal and non-verbal autistic learners.

Key responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Helping children with their understanding of the teachers' instructions
Working with individual learners in the classroom or working with individuals or small groups in the learning support department
Keeping track and recording pupil progressKey experience

Working in a teaching or teaching assistant role
Experience working with SEN children especially working with ADD/ADHD/Autism
Strong communication and social skills to manage the needs of the children
Enthusiastic and flexible attitude.To Be Eligible For This Role You Must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
