Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: East Croydon
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for the IT and a strong footing in Linux, Azure & Microsoft Virtualisation to join our client's team in East Croydon. The successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure, taking ownership of scenarios and a proven track record of providing effective, hands-on IT solutions.

The main responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Engineer include:

* Install, maintain & support IT environment including network and servers, monitoring systems, change management, telephone systems.
* Ensure the security, reliability and availability of on-premise IT systems through monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Install, support and configure Virtualization and Cloud Solutions.
* Work on infrastructure issues, providing an efficient and timely resolution.
* Update the helpdesk system ensuring all parties are informed on update/resolution or escalation of issue.

Technical Skills/Requirements:

* Azure, Office 365 & Intune
* Ubuntu / Debian (Troubleshooting, DB management, System Updates, Bash Scripting, LEMP Stack, Samba, Setup)
* Unifi Networking
* Security auditing
* Knowledge of Networking solutions (SD-WAN, fibre, 4G/5G)
* Volume Purchase Program, Apple Business Manager, Apple DEP
* MDM Intune (Deployment, Management)
* Experience with VMWare Products (vCenter, ESXI)
* Synology (Active backup solutions, CCTV)
* Powershell / Batch Scripting / Bash Scripting
* Asset Management
* Documentation
* Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery planning/implementation
