We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join a leading housebuilding team, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator looking to make a meaningful impact in land acquisition and cost planning across residential developments.

For this Estimator role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the production of all land bid appraisals, maintaining accurate and up-to-date cost information and templates to ensure a consistent and strategic approach across the region. This role involves close collaboration with multiple departments including land, technical, construction, and sales.

As an Estimator, you will also take on line management responsibilities, supporting and developing an Assistant Estimator to grow in their role.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed land bid appraisals to support land acquisition strategy.

Maintain and update cost databases and template documents to ensure consistency in bids.

*

Liaise with internal teams including land, technical, construction and sales to ensure all bids are aligned across departments.

*

Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to support commercial decision-making.

*

Support in the evaluation of new land opportunities and provide commercial input.

*

Manage and develop the Assistant Estimator, supporting their learning and progression.

*

Provide insight and reporting to senior management based on appraisal outcomes.

Requirements for this Estimator role:

Previous experience working as an Estimator within residential construction or housebuilding.

*

Strong commercial acumen and understanding of land bid and cost planning processes.

*

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.

*

Confident communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.

*

Experience in line management or mentoring junior team members is desirable.

*

Full right to work in the UK. Proof will be required if selected for interview.
