Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher
Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire curiosity about the world, its environments, and its people.
Develop creative lesson plans tailored to a range of learning styles and abilities.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Ensure compliance with the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
Requirements for a Geography Teacher
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
A degree in Geography or a related subject.
Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
A passion for Geography and the ability to engage and inspire students.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
