Job Title: Senior Management Consultant (Onshore Renewables and Battery Storage, Europe)

Location: London preferred, flexible on Location

Length of Contract: 6 months initial

Pay Rate: £(Apply online only) per day via PAYE Umbrella

We are currently refreshing our strategy over the next few months, especially for certain markets. We are looking for an experienced consultant to work with our existing teams and oversee this review, covering:

In-country strategy and business plan
Review of how current SSE capabilities, pipeline and processes align to strategy
Review of action plans and next steps The role reports to the Director of Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery for Europe who has P&L responsibility for the origination, development, construction, and operation of our European assets and management of teams currently based in Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Poland, as well as any new operations in the region.

Your accountabilities will include:

Finalise scope with Director, and thereafter ensure project completes on time
Deliver project (with some support from existing team)
Provide clear recommendations e.g., advise on how SSE can scale up further in priority markets (where appropriate)
Outline different approaches to delivering these outcomesWhat do I need?

We would love you to have:

Background in strategy management consulting, or similar role in international corporates
Deep understanding of the renewables industry within European markets, including an understanding of wind, solar, and battery technologies. Experience of early-stage project development and navigating land, consents, and routes to market is particularly beneficial
Experience of working in or supporting high value, complex capital projects including deep understanding of the commercial value drivers and financing options
Experience of change programmes and business expansion into new markets and geographies
Fluency in Spanish and other European languages is preferred but not necessary Guidant Global (BH4SF) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
