Housing setting out Engineer required for a successful Civil Engineering Contractor with offices in Redditch and Leeds. Our client is a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor, delivering projects from conception through to on-site project delivery.

Our client operates across a variety of different sectors including water and wastewater, infrastructure and coastal protection, through to highways, bridges and Railway Civils works. The Site/ Setting out Engineer role is expected to start on as soon as possible.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Setting out and monitoring of works on site

* Conduct ITPs and some Work Package Plans

* Utilise your expertise to accurately measure and mark construction sites, ensuring precise alignment and correct placement of structures.

* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to interpret blueprints and drawings, ensuring project specifications are met.

* Conduct site surveys and provide detailed reports on site conditions, measurements, and potential challenges.

* Monitor construction progress and provide ongoing support to the site team, addressing any issues that may arise.

* Make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone involved.

Candidate Requirements:

* Solid experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction industry.

* Proficiency in using surveying tools and equipment, including total stations and GPS technology.

* Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

* Experience relating to Steel Work/Bridges, desirable

* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team

* 2+ years experience working within either a civils or rail environment

* CSCS card

* Tier 1 background - Advantageous

* PTS - Advantageous
