Do you have a keen eye for detail? Would you like to pursue a career within the construction manufacturing industry? If so, a leading supplier of high-quality construction products are looking to recruit a highly motivated Project Estimator to join their team in Colchester. The ideal candidate with have a knowledge of the construction industry and some experience using software such as Bluebeam and CAD?

Duties:

Evaluate drawings to produce accurate take-offs/mark-ups of the project.
Produce accurate quotations that reflects the clients' requirements.
Liaise with customers answering any questions in a professional and timely manner.
Occasional visits to site to provide support if required.
Attend internal 'project handover meetings' with Design and Production teams.
Liaise with other departments and the Sales & Estimating team.
Update internal systems to reflect the status of each enquiry/quotation.
Develop a full understanding of the production process by spending time in the factory to better understand material and labour costs etc.

Experience:

Construction industry knowledge gained through education or experience preferable
Strong excel skills are essential along with a good knowledge of other Microsoft Office programmes
Additional knowledge of software such as Bluebeam and CAD software such as Autodesk is desirable although further training can be provided if necessary.
The ability to take a step back and re-evaluate your workings out before committing to pricing is required
Previous building design experience preferable but further training can be provided.
Attention to detail is essential with a confident and professional telephone manner
Self-motivated, methodical approach with focus on customer service
Must have own transport
