Welfare Officer (First Aider) Needed – Immediate Start

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Welfare Officer to join our team as a First Aider, starting immediately. This crucial role supports the physical and mental wellbeing of students, ensuring they receive timely medical attention and support within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Providing first aid to students, staff, and visitors
Managing and administering prescribed medicines to pupils
Supporting students and families with physical and mental health concerns
Liaising with external medical services when necessary
Maintaining first aid records and accident reports
Ensuring the First Aid Room and medical supplies are well-stocked and organized
Participating in health promotion activities and supporting school health projects
The successful candidate will be first aid trained and will keep their certification up to date, with support from the school. In addition to providing first aid, you will also assist with administrative tasks related to student welfare, particularly for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Qualifications and Experience:

First Aid certification (essential)
Experience working with young people and/or in a healthcare setting (desirable)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Salary: £27,941 - £29,251 (pro-rata, term-time only) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Contract: Temporary with the potential to become permanent
