We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Food Technology Teacher to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at a vibrant and supportive school in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a love for teaching and expertise in Food Technology to deliver engaging lessons and help students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Food Technology lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Develop innovative and inspiring lesson plans that foster creativity, practical skills, and an understanding of food science and nutrition.
Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in the classroom and during practical sessions.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage growth and achievement.
Contribute to the design and delivery of the school’s curriculum, keeping up-to-date with developments in Food Technology education.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Engage in professional development and actively participate in school events, parent evenings, and staff meetings.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with proven qualifications in Food Technology.
A passion for Food Technology and a commitment to nurturing students’ skills and knowledge.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential).
Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to planning and delivery.
A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
