Job Title: Senior Site Manager – Internal Fit-Out & Structural Works
Location: Chatham
Day Rate: £300 - £350
Contract Duration: 70 Weeks
Start Date: June 2nd 2025

The Opportunity
We are working with a leading main contractor who is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take ownership of the internal elements of a 67-unit residential block currently under construction. This is a traditional build project requiring a strong, confident leader with a deep understanding of internal fit-out processes and structural coordination.

The Role
As the Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all internal works, from first fix through to handover. You will work closely with subcontractors, the project management team, and design consultants to ensure quality, safety, and programme are maintained across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and coordinate all internal fit-out activities, including drylining, carpentry, joinery, and fire compartmentation.

* Oversee and resolve technical and on-site issues relating to MEP systems, ensuring seamless integration with internal finishes.

* Plan and sequence work effectively, aligning trades and suppliers to the programme of works.

* Interface with structural elements as required – understanding the sequence and implications of ongoing structural alterations.

* Monitor quality and ensure all works are in line with design specifications and relevant building regulations.

* Champion site safety and good working practices.

* Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate snagging, QA, and handover processes.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager on similar residential schemes.

* Strong background in internal fit-out, drylining, fire stopping, carpentry and joinery.

* Solid understanding of MEP coordination within internal build phases.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills – able to coordinate trades and drive the programme forward.

* Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
