Summary:
An experienced Logistics Manager with both transport and warehousing knowledge is required to lead and develop a small team based in Central Bedfordshire. You will be responsible for the compliance of a small fleet and the route scheduling for 7 drivers as well as a team of 4 in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a fleet of 9 vehicles including the maintenance, servicing and MOT, Lifecyle, Insurance and legality
Scheduling national, daily delivery routes
Managing 3rd party couriers where necessary
Manage a team of 7 drivers, their compliance and tachograph requirements
Be responsible for 4 warehouse staff over 2 sites
Ensure accurate stock bay fulfilment and stock management between sites
Schedule daily labour requirements
Experience:

Previous management experience gained within a distribution environment.
Able to lead, develop and manage a small team
Good knowledge of vehicle and driver regulations and their full compliance
Able to implement cost effective CI measures
Good communication skills and able to liaise with other department managers as part of the Operations team.
