We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor (minimum 3 – 4 years experience) to join a highly successful and well-established steelwork engineering business to cover construction projects in London.

Quantity Surveyor duties include:
• Work from the office together with frequent visits to construction sites around London.
• Conduct cost control and cost estimation for construction projects.
• Prepare and analyse project budgets, including material, labour, and equipment costs.
• Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals.
• Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used.
• Prepare reports and presentations on cost analysis findings.

Quantity Surveyor requirements:
• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Previous experience working as a QS for 3 – 4 years
• Ability to read drawings / specs.
• Knowledge of cost control principles and techniques.
• Experience using cost estimation software/tools.
• Good communication skills and have a good attention to detail.
