Position: SEN Support Teaching Assistant
Type: Full-Time (Monday-Friday)
Salary: £88 - £100 per day

Role and Responsibilities:
As an SEN Support, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to a pupils with special educational needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

Curriculum Adaptation: Adapting and creating learning materials tailored to the unique learning styles and requirements of the pupil.
Personalised Support: Offering one-on-one and group support, while adjusting teaching techniques to meet each student's specific learning needs.
Emotional and Social Well being: Ensuring the physical, social, and emotional well being of students by creating a nurturing and secure environment.
Engagement and Interaction: Cultivating an engaging and interactive atmosphere that encourages active participation and learning among students.
Progress Tracking: Maintaining accurate records of student progress, achievements, and any interventions implemented.
Collaborative Meetings: Participating in review meetings to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals in developing effective learning plans.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
Diverse Needs: Assisting students with a wide range of special needs, including ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, Asperger syndrome, social communication disorders, attachment disorders, physical disabilities, and speech-language pathology.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Relevant experience working with SEN pupils in mainstream or a similar educational setting.
A solid understanding of various special educational needs and the ability to tailor teaching methods accordingly.
Empathy, patience, and a sincere dedication to supporting children's development.
Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and professionals.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and actively participating in review meetings.
Possession of relevant certifications or training in SEN education would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
