Role Overview:
As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing and interpreting data from across my clients operations, ensuring that the company meets its regulatory requirements while optimizing performance. You will work closely with different departments to provide actionable insights that drive improvements in service delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyse large datasets from various sources, including water usage, environmental monitoring, and operational systems.
* Pivot Tables & Dashboards: Create and manage complex pivot tables to analyse data, identifying trends, correlations, and insights to support decision-making.
* Data Visualization: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools) to present key metrics and insights to stakeholders across the business.
* Reporting: Generate regular reports on performance metrics, water quality, and regulatory compliance, ensuring accuracy and clarity for both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Predictive Analytics: Support predictive modelling efforts to anticipate demand, optimize water distribution, and identify potential risks such as leaks or equipment failures.
* Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all data collection and analysis adheres to industry regulations and standards, including water quality and environmental reporting requirements.
* Data Management: Collaborate with IT teams to improve data collection, storage, and retrieval systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
* Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analysis for various projects, including environmental impact assessments, infrastructure performance, and customer behaviour trends.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Technical Expertise: Proven experience working with pivot tables, data analysis, and creating dashboards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
* Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret and analyse large datasets, turning complex data into actionable insights.
* Software Proficiency: Experience with SQL, Python, R, and data manipulation techniques.
* Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the water industry, utilities, or environmental services is highly desirable.
* Communication: Ability to present data-driven insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with water industry regulations and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
* Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work across departments and contribute to cross-functional projects.
