Position: Bank SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Brighton & Hove area

Pay: £85 - £95 per day

Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (Bank, Adhoc)

Start: ASAP

Masterclass are seeking compassionate and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to join the bank staff team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis, providing essential support to students with special educational needs. As a bank staff member, you will be called upon to cover absences and provide additional assistance during peak times. We will contact you on a weekly basis to retrieve your availability. This role could turn into an ongoing role, if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

* Student Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and engage fully in school activities.

* Individualised Learning: Assist in the development and implementation of EHCP’s (Education Health Care Plan) and other personalised learning strategies.

* Classroom Assistance: Work closely with teachers to support the learning environment, including preparing materials and facilitating activities.

* Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support student well-being and promote a positive learning atmosphere.

* Communication: Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to student support.

* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO as required.

* Flexibility: Be available to work on short notice and adapt to different classroom settings and student needs.

Must have:

* Ability to work well independently and as a team

* Has a passion to support and empower children and young people

* A DBS on the Updates Service

* Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
