Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to be engaged on a permanent basis. Candidates will ideally be based in the Barrow.

What You'll Do

Working on a major project in Barrow reporting directly to one of the Commercial Managers.
The role is primarily site based and will provide commercial support to the project teams on all projects for which they are responsible.
Ensure that projects they are administered effectively and that the business objectives in terms of appropriate commercial targets and customer focus are achieved.
Skills and Experience

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor.
Familiarity with JCT/NEC/ forms of contract.
Knowledge of current Construction Law.
Experience in commercial management.
Experience in procurement of subcontractors, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations.
Good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.

Ability to work in a team environment contributing across the business unit.
Good management skills.
Ability to motivate self and colleagues to achieve high standards of compliance.
Good operational planning and time management skills.
