Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to service users, helping them to live independent and fulfilling lives. This role requires an individual with experience in UK care settings, along with PMVA (Prevention Management of Violence and Aggression) or MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training, and the ability to safely administer medication.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide daily support and personal care to service users, ensuring their well-being and dignity at all times.

* Administer medication in line with care plans, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

* Support service users with their daily routines, including personal care, social activities, and community involvement.

* Implement and follow individual care plans and risk assessments.

* Handle challenging behaviours with confidence and skill, using PMVA/MAPA techniques to ensure a safe environment.

* Promote independence and encourage service users to engage in activities that enhance their quality of life.

* Liaise with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care.

* Maintain accurate records and reports on service user progress and any incidents.

Requirements:

* PMVA or MAPA training is essential.

* Proven experience in a UK care setting is required.

* Ability to administer medication confidently and accurately.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanour.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Desirable:

* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

* Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or complex needs.
