Overview:
The Administrator, Banking Operations, will be based on a hybrid basis from our city centre office in Leeds, so you will need to be within a commutable distance to enable you to be in the office weekly with the team.
The role holder will take responsibility for all day-to-day banking matters and activities that take place within Operations, helping to manage the operational relationships with our banking partners and ensuring all risks are investigated and escalated accordingly, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations at all times.

What you need:
As with any role, we want to find the right person and we want to make sure you know it’s the right role for you too. You therefore need:
• At least 3 years’, In-depth knowledge of the Banking and Payment methods used with the European Banking environment – eg BACS and Chaps
• Demonstrable experience within a Banking or Operational department in the Financial Services industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management across both business lines and geographies
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence others and negotiate with a variety of internal and external customers
• Strong problem solving and prioritisation skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure
• The drive, desire and ability to drive change through the business
• A keen eye for detail, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and the ability to think and act independently, whilst still being a member of a team
It would be nice to have:
• Knowledge of relevant FCA regulations and escalation process would be great
Day to Day, you will:
• Process the day-to-day operational requirements of the Banking team, working as a team to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within the required timescales
• Ensure that the Banking team workflow is covered, with the day-to-day critical tasks accurately processed in accordance with set procedures
• Manage any queries that are received via the appropriate mailbox and ensure they are dealt with or distributed accordingly
• Ensure payments to and from client money accounts that are impacted by FCA regulations are adhered to and that any breaches via the incident reporting processes are reported and completed in a timely manner
• Process all payments within prescribed timeframes
• Review the issues log and ensure any updates are added and all lessons learnt are implemented
• Proactively seek to make efficiencies to optimise the Banking Team’s processes, ensuring procedures are up to date and reviewed as required
