Transport Controller

Location : Leighton Buzzard

Salary : £33000 potentially up to £38000 DOE

Hours : Monday - Friday (Apply online only)

As a Transport Controller you will play a key role in coordinating the Customer and Internal and External Transport functions for the movement of vehicles. This role involves liaising with customers, managing logistics, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the timely and safe delivery of vehicles.

Key responsibilities:

* Develop transportation routes considering factors such as distance, traffic conditions and delivery schedules using the relevant software.

* Coordinate the logistics of vehicle transportation, including scheduling and dispatching.

* Collaborate with drivers and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transport.

* Monitor the status of vehicle movements and address any issues or delays proactively.

* Work closely with operations, sales, and customer service teams to understand vehicle transport requirements.

* Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.

* Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of vehicle transport.

* Address and resolve issues related to vehicle transportation, such as delays, damages or route changes.

We are looking for:

* Transport Planning experience.

* Numeracy skills and the ability to interpret data.

* Problem-solving and analytical skills - finding a range of solutions.

* The ability to deal with a range of people including drivers, team members, customers and stakeholders in a confident and assertive way.

* Resource management skills.
