Job Title: ICT Tutor

Location: York - Centre based

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (Depending on skills and experience) 

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

Must have experience of delivering IT/ICT courses to groups of learners, with experience of creating an inclusive working environment. 
Must hold own Level 3 qualification in ICT. 
Must hold a minimum of a Level 2 in Maths and English (or GCSE equivalents). 
Ideally hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS). 
A sound knowledge of OFSTED framework. 
Confident and comfortable to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners.
Ability to handle challenging situations and remain calm and in control.Duties include:

Teach/assess learners working towards ICT qualifications (E3 - L3), within a classroom-based environment.
Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners skills knowledge and behaviours.
Work in partnership with the Careers Advice and Learning Support team, to ensure that learners with diverse needs are supported effectively and that progress is tracked.
Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.Personal Skills:

Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
