We are looking for a skilled and experienced COMCATs Catering Engineer to join our team in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial catering equipment across a variety of sites. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' kitchens, providing prompt and reliable service to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

* Install commercial catering equipment, including ovens, grills, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.

* Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.

* Conduct site assessments to determine the best installation practices and equipment placement.

*

Maintenance and Servicing:

* Perform regular maintenance checks and servicing of commercial catering equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.

* Diagnose and repair faults in a timely and efficient manner to prevent equipment breakdowns and minimize disruption to clients' operations.

* Conduct safety inspections and tests on gas and electrical equipment to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Callout Duties:

* Participate in the callout rota, responding promptly to emergency repair requests and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

* Provide detailed reports on all callouts, including the nature of the fault, work carried out, and any further recommendations.

* Maintain clear and effective communication with clients during callouts, ensuring they are kept informed throughout the repair process.

Customer Service:

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice on equipment usage, maintenance, and safety.

* Recommend system upgrades or replacements when necessary, ensuring clients are aware of the latest industry advancements.

* Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with all aspects of the work carried out.

Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications:

* Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Commercial Catering Engineer.

* Must hold current COMCAT qualifications (1, 2, 3, and 5).

* Strong knowledge of commercial catering equipment, including gas and electric appliances.

* Experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of catering equipment.

* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.

* Attention to detail, with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

Other Requirements:

* Full UK driving license.

* Willingness to participate in the callout rota and be flexible with working hours.

* Based within a commutable distance to Brighton and surrounding areas
