Are you a dedicated social worker passionate about safeguarding children?

St Helens MBC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. You will be joining a team consisting of a Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, 5 Social Workers, and a Social Work Assistant

About the Role:

* Base: Atlas House

* Caseload: Approximately 20-22 children

As a Children's Social Worker, you will:

* Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and risks

* Develop and implement effective care plans

* Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals

* Represent the needs of children in court proceedings

* Participate in regular supervision and case reviews

What You'll Bring:

* Experience in Child Protection and Care Proceedings

* A strong understanding of child safeguarding and welfare

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
