Their commercial teams provide entire project management to architects, consultants, asset managers, builders and main contractors. Our client also have a domestic and small works department which offers homeowners all the services necessary to maintain their properties.

Having carefully and steadily expanded the company over the past few decades, they now employ over 130 people from our headquarters on the West Wilts Trading Estate in Westbury.

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out fixed wire Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s) on a wide variety of projects, to be able to spot faults with any systems and resolve them, along with any additional customer issues.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Carry out inspection and testing on customer’s electrical installations (EICR’S) including Emergency Lighting testing and remedial repairs as required.

Complete all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection and testing

Ensure all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time

Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault finding and rewiring

Assess the materials and hours required to carry out repairs and feed back reports to the office

Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial, industrial, agricultural and domestic electrical systems and ensure installations are to manufacturer’s standards

Ensure good quality workmanship, which upholds Company standards, complies with building codes and follows safety requirements

Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction

Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer queries

Install electrical systems to current BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Provide professional assessments and advice for customers

Any other electrical duties outside of core working hours, as requested by the Manager

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 qualification

City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification

City & Guilds 2391/2394 and 2395 qualification

Able to demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements

Knowledge of BS7671:2018 18th Edition and 2:2022 Regulations

Previous electrical experience of working in an electrical testing environment

Numerically proficient with excellent attention to detail

Friendly and approachable with a flexible attitude, good customer focus and service

Proven delivery of results

Knowledge of Policies, Processes and Procedures including Safety

Team player with above average interpersonal and written communication

Full UK driver’s licence

SALARY/BENEFITS

Salary £40,000 P/A

Full-time – 07.30-16.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.30-16.00 Friday (40 hours per week)

Travel paid one way (return journey 10p per mile for return journeys greater than 25 miles)
