Our client is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Shopper. As a Shopper, you will be responsible for purchasing various products from a range of retailers within a 20-mile radius from Welwyn using your own personal car. It will be crucial to adhere to all required food hygiene regulations to ensure the safe and proper transportation, storage, and delivery of the purchased items. Daily updates on shopped items and accurate processing of monies and receipts will also be required.
Responsibilities include:
Purchasing samples from stores for product reviews and submissions.
Supporting the business by making accurate comparisons on benchmark products.
Managing own company card and receipts.
Assisting in the planning and setup of products to be reviewed.
Representing and advocating for the client's brand, sharing expertise and knowledge through active participation in internal and external engagement events.
Ensuring compliance with all food hygiene regulations and maintaining a high food hygiene rating.
Conducting visual quality checks on products in-store and reporting any issues.
Maintaining a wide product knowledge and technical abilities through engagement in relevant training opportunities.
Supporting and contributing to the delivery of change programmes in the function.
Following the Business Code of Conduct and acting with integrity and diligence.
Updating trackers and effectively communicating any issues to the appropriate team members.
Planning workday for optimum efficiency.
Ensuring own car is in good working order.
Using mobile devices to take photos in-store.Key skills and qualifications:

Must have access to own car with business insurance.
Valid and clean UK driving licence.
Large boot space in the car to accommodate potential shopping volume.
Willingness to cover different areas in addition to WGC within a 20-mile radius.
Ability to take direction and work closely with both the shopping and wider team.
Strong time management skills.
Basic research skills for product identification.
Aptitude for planning routes.
Flexible working hours/days to cover annual leave or sickness.
