THE ROLE:

We’re seeking a talented and motivated Junior Software Developer who’s excited to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on regulatory technology. With a passion for tackling complex challenges, the ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development and a desire to work with revolutionary solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Software Development: Design, develop, and use of programming languages and technologies including .NET Framework preferably C#, JavaScript.

* Database Management: Utilise Microsoft SQL Server/PostgreSQL for database development, optimisation, and management tasks, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval processes.

* Web Development: Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications using technologies such as JavaScript, and Single Page Applications (SPA) frameworks.

* Integration: Design and implement REST APIs for seamless integration with external systems and services, ensuring interoperability and data exchange.

* Cloud Services: Assisting in the development implementation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based application development, deployment, and management tasks, leveraging services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and more.

* Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.

* Message Queuing: Implement message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication between distributed components and services.

* Search Technologies: Integrate and utilise Elasticsearch for efficient search functionality within applications, optimising indexing and querying processes.

* Code Optimisation: Optimise code performance and scalability, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies in software applications.

* Testing: Writing and maintaining automated tests using the Selenium framework.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

* Experience with Single Page Applications (SPA) development using modern JavaScript frameworks.

* At least 6 months experience in software development with proficiency in C# (with an interest and experience in other languages), .NET Framework, ASP, MVC

* Some experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar database development and management.

* An interest in Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based application development.

* Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools.

* An interest in message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication.

* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Some experience in using automated testing would be advantageous
