Are you a dedicated Pharmacy Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic NHS environment? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our pharmacy team at a leading hospital in Devon.
A Day in the Life of an ACT Pharmacy Technician
As an Accredited Checking Technician (ACT), your day will be both rewarding and varied. You will start your morning by reviewing and checking the prescriptions prepared by junior staff. Collaborating closely with pharmacists, you'll ensure accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.
Throughout the day, you'll engage with healthcare professionals, providing advice on medication management and addressing any queries from patients. You’ll participate in ward rounds, offering pharmaceutical care to inpatients and helping to optimize their treatment plans.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Conducting regular stock checks and ensuring the pharmacy is well-stocked.
Assisting with the training of junior staff and pharmacy students.
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with NHS regulations.
Staying updated on medication guidelines and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
Provide pharmaceutical care and advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
Qualified Pharmacy Technician with GPhC registration.
ACT certificate
Previous experience in an NHS setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
What We Offer:
Competitive pay rate of up to £28 per hour.
Standard working hours: 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday.

Working hours and contract duration:
This position will require you to work from Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 30 min break. The contract is for 6 months minimum.
