JOB TITLE: Compliance Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Overseeing all on-site compliance requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creation and maintenance of on-site policies and procedures pertinent to food safety, food legality, food quality and authenticity
• Creation and maintenance of systems pertinent to BRCGS and Red Tractor standards
• Ensuring that that all additional customer requirements are met, where advised and required
• Maintenance of specific due diligence databases
• Auditing of packhouse, warehouse (Farm Packhouse) and farm to ensure ongoing compliance with BRCGS and RT standards
• Hosting of third-party audit visits: BRCGS, RT (and customers, as required for specific on-site standards)
• To maintain excellent standards of personal and environmental hygiene at all times
• Identifying and organising Team training needs
• Working with the Technical Managers and Quality Manager to develop QC Team master classes
• Organisation and management of policy and procedure reviews and updates
• Ensuring that the business is fully briefed on business compliance issues
• Understanding customer needs and requirements (as advised by the Technical Managers) to facilitate the improvement of on-site compliance processes
• Preparing, presenting and chairing internal monthly and annual compliance reviews (e.g. Senior Management Review Meeting)
• Supplying guidance and training to colleagues as required
• To be responsible for the health and safety of self and others
• Member of Health and Safety Team
• Leader of on-site HACCP Team (Level 3 minimum)
• To nurture the meaning and importance of food safety culture to all colleagues
RELATIONSHIPS
Direct relationship with: Managing Director, Commercial/Sales Managers, Site Manager, Technical Managers, Quality Manager, Print Room, Production & QC staff, Farm Manage
